With love from Yountville

Every Sunday, we take a leisurely drive up to Napa to go to church. This past Sunday, we decided to travel nine miles north of Napa to Yountville.

This is what I thought that downtown Napa was going to be like. Well manicured. Vineyards surrounding the town. Gourmet restaurants and cafes’ on each corner. It turns out that Yountville is my idyllic Napa.

This is Isabella’s special way to smell the flowers. I told Parker that we needed to come here at least once a month. It is so dreamy!

After a yummy lunch, we went to the famous Bouchon Bakery. Ooo La La! I absolutely love bakeries. There was a constant wait in line, but it was well worth the wait.

Now in truth, I am not a big fan of macaroons, but I am a huge fan of Bouchon’s macaroons. Simply delightful. I will be returning for more of those heavenly sandwiched cookies.

Isabella loved the pink raspberry ones. She kept saying, “I like this place. Let’s come here again!” I felt the exact same way.

  var _gaq = _gaq || [];

  _gaq.push([‘_setAccount’, ‘UA-24873672-1’]);

  (function() {

    var ga = document.createElement(‘script’); ga.type = ‘text/javascript’; ga.async = true;

    ga.src = (‘https:’ == document.location.protocol ? ‘https://ssl’ : ‘http://www’) + ‘.google-analytics.com/ga.js’;

    var s = document.getElementsByTagName(‘script’)[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s);
