Week Five: Check! (with a beautiful blister to match)

The beauty about running this week had to do with the fact that it gets lighter and lighter later into the night and earlier in the morning.  It is so nice to run and be able to see the road ahead of you.

But the best run of the week would have to be at Green lake where I secured the best blister ever!  We followed a rough version of the Iron Girl route which we accomplished in September of 2009.

We ran about six point five miles in roughly an hour.  I commented that we only had one more hour to run.

It is hard to fathom at this point, but the training will help us push through the mileage barrier.

We are reaching a place in our training where we have never gone before…..SEVEN MILES. Next week will be a first for many of us.

We also celebrated Hillary’s birthday on the top level of the Green Lake Starbucks.  We sang Happy Birthday at the top of our lungs to ring in her new year.  What a fun morning!
